Madison Real Estate Market Update & What’s New with the Marks’

Madison Real Estate Market Update.  Residential single-family and condominium home sales in Dane County ended the first quarter of 2018 on a record pace – totaling 1342 compared to the previous high of 1324 set in 2006. The Madison real estate market looked good as March sales of 583 were slightly higher than 2017, yet below the 609 sales reported in 2016. The 12-month median price in Dane County stands at $265,000, a 6.3% increase over 2017. This is reflective of the heavy demand by buyers and a limited supply of available homes in the Madison real estate market– particularly in the entry and mid-level price ranges. Mortgage rates are slightly higher than one year ago yet remain at very affordable levels.

Family Update: For Easter this year I participated in our company wide Easter Egg Open. It was a great time!  Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out! The kids had fun, the parents left with a gift, and most importantly, Charlee got a picture with the Easter bunny!  Plus, I was able to sport some pretty sweet pink bunny ears.  This year’s event was held at a new place on the west side called The Well. They are a daycare and preschool and they have a beautiful facility with an indoor playset (although it was so nice we wished it was outside), indoor sandbox, separate classrooms where we had a face painter set up as well as a craft area, and a green turf room for running and playing games. It worked out very well and I was fortunate, Krystle still wanted to get pic with me with the bunny ears on. Happy Spring everyone!
